OnePlus launched the OnePlus 5 last month, one month later than it had normally presented its previous flagships. Now we begin to know new details about the launch of OnePlus 6, which would imply that there will not be a OnePlus 5T, as we have seen the last year.
At the end of August, we knew the first concept of the OnePlus 6, which features a large screen without frames unlike the OnePlus 5, but it is too early to expect such a drastic change.
The launch of the OnePlus 6 would be at the beginning of 2018
Undoubtedly the information we have known this afternoon, the most striking is the possible release date of the OnePlus 6, which would be in early 2018, instead of mid-year or late spring as it has been so far.
In addition, this advance would imply another important innovation, that there is no intermediate model between the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 6, which would have been the OnePlus 5T. Something that on the one hand would be due to the non-existence of a new Qualcomm processor superior to the current Snapdragon 835, as we saw last year with Snapdragon 820 and 821.
So the absence of this intermediate model and the decision by OnePlus for a long time not to launch new devices of inferior ranges invites to think as they assure these sources, that will directly jump the OnePlus 5T and we will see in the beginning of 2018 the launch of OnePlus 6.
On the datasheet of the OnePlus 6 is expected mainly a 6-inch screen with QHD resolution. A screen that we have seen in this 2017 with other tops of the range, no borders and gaining in size while reducing the dimensions of the device.
The processor would be the Snapdragon 845, while it would still offer 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. As expected would have a dual camera, we do not know if it will also copy the design in this case of the iPhone X. Of course we talk about rumors, and as such must be taken with great caution, although probably the most plausible all is that there is no OnePlus 5T, which would already acknowledge many details and we should take into account the terms of the previous generation, that would be presented before the end of this year, and nothing points to it.
